What are Dilapidation Reports?

These reports are rarely requested, but are sometimes needed by landlords or their agents to identify anything wrong with a property where an Inventory is unavailable, or where a previous Inventory is of a poor standard. It is frequently requested by relocation agents where often an Inventory has not been provided or has been mislaid. We would recommend the use of a Dilapidation Report when no Inventory is present, or if the current Inventory is of a poor construction and we are taking over mid way through a tenancy period. We would usually undertake Dilapidation Reports on the condition that we would carry out future inventory work for the property, starting with the Inventory report.
